Our volunteers are at the heart of Home-Start Camden & Islington. They bring their time, experience and kindness to support our work with local families, and we are always grateful for the difference they make. We are currently recruiting for two volunteering opportunities and would love to hear from people who are interested in getting involved.
We’re Looking for New Family Support Volunteers
Do you want to make a real difference to local families?
We are currently looking for new Family Support Volunteers to join our next training course, starting on Wednesday 1st of October at our office in Kentish Town.
Training will take place from 10:00am–2:30pm for seven weeks, finishing on 19 November, with a break during half term on 29th of October.
Our Family Support Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. We are looking for people who want to put families first, offering kindness, encouragement and a listening ear when families need it most.
No two families are the same, and our volunteers play an important role in helping parents feel less isolated, build confidence and navigate the challenges of family life.

We’re Also Recruiting a Social Media Volunteer
Are you creative, proactive and passionate about communications?
We are looking for a Social Media Volunteer to support our communications team.
This is an office-based role for 7 hours once a week on Wednesdays, with occasional opportunities to attend our events and capture content.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys creating content, is confident using Canva and CapCut, and isn’t camera shy!
This is a great opportunity to gain practical communications experience while supporting a local charity. The role has been incredibly popular, and we’re proud that our previous Social Media Volunteers are working in the communications field.
