12 months Maternity Cover: Scheme Manager

£30,335 (incl. ILW) for 28 hours a week

Home-Start Camden (HSC) is looking for an experienced Manager to take this vibrant, established, local charity forward.   The successful candidate should relish a challenge and be able to work strategically and creatively.

Experience of securing long-term, core and project funding is essential. The ability to successfully establish new projects is crucial as HSC has recently launched in a neighbouring borough. The manager will also oversee currently funded projects, run by the established staff team of seven.

The Manager has responsibility for liaison with funders, ensuring that targets are met, and policies and practices are followed and reviewed. S/he will deliver the objectives of the strategic plan, reporting to the Trustee Board.

Experience of diversifying income as well as the ability to network within the local community and further afield is required.  An understanding of the difficulties urban families and young children face and knowledge of the role of health professionals, social work, and the statutory requirements of a charity are essential.

The Manager will be forward thinking and proactive and lead the charity through the current climate of change, seeking innovative solutions, working with a supportive Board of Trustees.  This post is an exciting opportunity to make a difference.
